PB:Training


Hi I’m Alan and I am a level 4 personal trainer originally from Scotland but now based in Barcelona.

I do one on one personal training sessions with runners working largely on the following;

  • Leg conditioning. Strengthening those weaker leg muscles and ensuring muscle balance between each leg to prevent potential injuries
  • Core and upper body strengthening. A strong upper body and core can increase stabilisation in the torso leading to an improvement in running posture and speed. 
  • Stretching. It’s often left out as part of a runners training but is hugely important. Let’s spend some time stretching out those problematic areas of the body. 
  • Running analysis. After analysing your running technique and gait analysis I can see what areas need improving. We can work on your running technique to have you running more efficiently, faster, and with less risk of injury. 
  • Nutrition. I am a qualified nutrition advisor through the BTN Academy and help a lot of clients reach optimal performance by working with them on their nutrition.

I have a running club in Barcelona called PB:Running. We are a friendly group of mixed nationalities. Our training specializes in interval training to help people get faster and improve their personal bests.
