A new and modern complex just outside Barcelona.

Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But it’s true.

The Antonio Amoroso’s track is free to everybody who applies for it.

About the complex

The 18,000 square meters sports complex, located in the park of Can Zam, contains a track of 400 meters with eight lanes, 500 seats, a building with a Gym, different areas for various disciplines (high jump, pole vault, javelin, shot punt, long jumps, etc.) and other complementary spaces.

Antonio Amorós ‘Caudete’s Greyhound’

This installation is named by Antonio Amorós, a capital figure of the Colomense athletics and known as ‘El galgo de Caudete’, the town of Albacete where he was born, although his sports career was mainly developed in Catalonia.

Amorós dominated 5,000 and 10,000 meters disiplines on a national level, in the 50’s. He was 6 times Spanish champion and one time Nations crosscountry vice-champion (Nantes, 1961), 70 times international, ended his career as coach of the Santa Coloma athletes.

Ok, ok. Everything is so interesting… but how can I get the free access?

You have to go to the «Departament municipal d’Esports de Santa Coloma de Gramenet» located in Plaça Manent, s/n, 08921 Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona ( Open Mon/Friday 9:30-13:30 ) with your NIF (or NIE+identity document), leave them a phone number and an email address, and that’s it: now you have unlimited and free access to the sport complex!

How can I get there?

The track is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 13:30 and from 16.30 to 22:00.
